Lillard and his wife, Kay’La, announced their divorce just days after being dealt to the Bucks. This caught many fans off guard, and the timing of it coming so soon after this big film is awful. According to the filing, the Lillards appear to have decided to divorce owing to irreconcilable differences, and they may have been living in separate houses for the previous ten months.

It’s clear that the Lillards are having a difficult time off the court, and the hope is that they can work out their difficulties and have an amicable breakup if that’s the path they choose. Lillard will undoubtedly be focused on making an impact on the court with his new squad, but it appears that he has some personal business to attend to before things get started.

According to Willamette Week, Lillard, 33, filed in Clackamas County Circuit Court, citing “irreconcilable differences” in the relationship that led to “the irremediable breakdown of their marriage.”

The couple met at Weber State University in Utah and were together for ten years before marrying on September 4, 2021 in Santa Barbara, California.
